Invitation to the Microtubule Research &
Yew Resources International Conference
and Study Tour in Beijing May 11, 2005
Dear Friend,
We are pleased to invite you to YewCon China 2005,
consisting of The Conference: The Yew Chronicles--
Microtubule-Stabilizing Therapeutic Agents scheduled
to convene in Beijing 10-13 May, and the ongoing 14-day
Core Study Tour of Beijing, coastal Yantai and Qingdao
(known as Tsingtao to beer drinkers!), and portions of Hubei
Province, We will visit scenic, historic, cultural and botanical
highlight sites that include visits to wild and cultivated yew
sites. We may also visit on a time-available basis schools,
homes, health and other facilities that exemplify China's rich
and unique culture. A 6-day extension is also available that
includes Kunming, Dali and Lijiang in Yunnan Province.
Whether you are a friend of the yew and other medicinal plants,
a scientist or other professional wishing to present a paper or
poster on a conference-related theme, or you are someone who
just likes to explore Beijing and other exciting parts of China, join
us in Beijing on 10 May at the Conference and Study Tour
headquarter hotel, the famous Jiuhua Spa and Resort on the
eastern edge of Beijing. This former royal palace will be our home
during the 10-13 May conference period and during the first 4
days of our study tour.
